Penny Low Rachelle Ann Beguia: This is really a shy moment for parliament especially for Penny Low as the member of parliament. Penny Low should not act like this despite she consentrate on the National Anthem. Therefore, Penny Low is facing a huge disaster of criticism of this act. During the singing the national anthem at Singapore’s 46th National Day Parade, 44-years oldmember of Parliament for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC Penny Lowwas caught looking preoccupied with her mobile phone.
“I was so caught up in the wonderful NDP 2011 and felt so proud of being a Singaporean, that I wanted to capture that moment of pride, at the very tail end of the anthem, to share on FB with my residents, Penny Low wrote on her Facebook page.
“If in my enthusiasm I offended anyone, please accept my apologies. NDP is a time to unite not divide. Majulah Singapura,” Penny Low wrote.
The incident showed Penny Low glancing down at the phone in her hand as you can see in the picture which was captured on television cameras. While everyone was busy-minded in the National Anthem, then Penny Low was busy in her mobile phone.
