EPL: English Premier League Season 2011-12: NESN.COM: New England's most watched sports network, will replay over 30 English Premier League (EPL) matches this season beginning on Monday, Aug. 15 at 8:00 PM with next-day coverage of the Liverpool versus Sunderland match that takes place at Anfield on Sunday. All of NESN's English Premier League matches will be produced by Fox Soccer and will be distributed on NESN in high definition.
NESN began airing next-day replays of English Premier League matches on NESN in February 2011 after its parent company Fenway Sports Group acquired the Liverpool Football Club.
"We received a great response from the passionate soccer fan base here in New England that enjoys world class soccer," said Sean McGrail, NESN's president and CEO. "We are excited to partner with Fox Soccer to deliver a full season of EPL action."
NESN's EPL broadcast schedule will feature Liverpool Football Club matches as well as coverage of other iconic English Premier League teams such as Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
NESN will televise two additional matches in August featuring West Bromwich Albion at Chelsea on Sunday, August 21 at 8:00 PM and Bolton at Liverpool on Sunday, August 28 at 8:00 PM. Future matchups for the English Premier League Match of the Week on NESN will be posted on NESN.com as soon as they become available.
