Oprah Winfrey's Final Show: Oprah Winfrey Says Goodbye and Thank You for 25 Years of Oprah, "The Great Love of My Life": Oprah Winfrey walked on stage for her talk show finale Wednesday to a standing ovation from her studio audience before thanking her viewers for watching for a quarter of a century.

She ended her show on a simple, quiet note--a marked contrast to the spectacle of the two-day, celebrity-studded bash at the United Center that preceded the finale.
"There will be no guests, no surprises," she told her audience. "You will not be getting a car. This last hour is about me saying thank you. It is my love letter to you."

Winfrey said she was eternally grateful to her audience.
"Twenty-five years and I'm still saying 'Thank you America,'" she said. "Thank you so much. There are no words to match this moment."
She closed the show by saying her departure was "all sweet and not bitter" and telling her audience, "I won't say goodbye, I'll just say, until we meet again. To God be the glory."

Don t You Forget About Me:  ”Don’t You (Forget About Me)” is a song known for its being in the soundtrack to the film The Breakfast Club and performed by the band Simple Minds in 1985. The songwriters were producer Keith Forsey (who won an Oscar for “Flashdance… What a Feeling”) and Steve Schiff (guitarist and songwriter from the Nina Hagen band).

Forsey asked Cy Curnin from The Fixx, Bryan Ferry and Billy Idol to record the song, but all three declined; Idol would later perform a cover of it on his 2001 greatest hits compilation. Schiff then suggested Forsey ask the Scottish New Wave band Simple Minds, who initially refused as well, but then agreed under the encouragement of their label, A&M. According to one account, the band “rearranged and recorded ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ in three hours in a north London studio and promptly forgot about it.”

he track would become their most famous song and is considered a defining song of the 1980s. Continuing the rock direction recently taken on Sparkle in the Rain but also glancing back at their melodic synthpop past, it caught the band at their commercial peak and, propelled by the success of The Breakfast Club, became a number-one hit in the U.S. and around the world. It is the band’s only number-one hit on the U.S. Top Rock Tracks chart, staying atop for three weeks. While only reaching number seven in the UK, it stayed on the charts from 1985–1987, one of the longest time spans for any single in the history of the chart.

The music video, directed by Daniel Kleinman, takes place on a dancing floor in a dark room with a chandelier, a rocking horse and Sony televisions, whose screens are displaying scenes from The Breakfast Club. Jim Kerr, the band’s lead singer, dances in many scenes.

Reports read, “Song Ji Sun attempted to commit suicide at 1:44 PM KST by jumping out of her 19th floor Seocho-dong officetel. Authorities were immediately called, and she was rushed to the emergency room.”


Seocho police have confirmed that she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Netizens are speculating the cause to be the recent scandal that she was swept in with baseball player Im Tae Hoon. Song Ji Sun had announced that she had been dating the Doosan Bears player for the past year and six months, but the statement was denied by Im Tae Hoon himself.

On the 7th, she had written, “If you cannot take me to you, please at least give me strength. My heart is in such pain, I am already on my third sleeping pill.”

Her last post written on the 21st read, “I am steering clear of the internet lately. My words… I am so sorry. I’m not that good with computers so I don’t know how to delete my account.

I’d first like to tweet my apology. I’m so sorry, but really, my Cyworld isn’t the truth. I’ll reveal the truth soon.”

Besides serving at Eagle Eye Centre, Dr Lim holds concurrent appointments as Head, Ocular Inflammation, Immunology and Uveitis, The Eye Institute, National Healthcare Group, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital . He is also serving as a visiting consultant to SNEC. He is an accomplished eye surgeon who has performed thousands of eye surgeries, including complex cataracts surgeries, pterygium excision with conjunctival graft (fibrin glue), and LASIK surgeries.

During his service in the Singapore Armed Forces, he led humanitarian medical missions to neighbouring countries, and served as team leader of the Singapore medical team at the United Nations Hospital in East Timor . In Singapore , he has initiated numerous eye care programmes for the community, including Project I-Care (an eye screening programme for old folks’ homes), free spectacles for children of needy families and free cataract surgery for the needy.

When Hines Ward took home the mirrorball trophy on the hit show Tuesday, he joined its winningest group of alumni: Athletes. Professional athletes have taken the "Dancing" title six times in the past 12 seasons.

"I'm so impressed with you, the way you partnered with her through that routine," Inaba said. "The connection was beyond what we ask for in a dance routine."

Ward, a Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and former Super Bowl most valuable player, credits his professional dance partner, Kym Johnson, with their dance victory. He plans to keep his new mirrorball right next to his Super Bowl trophy.

Ward and his partner Kym Johnson performed the samba, the dance that supposedly shows off Ward's hip movements. It also shows off his remarkably stiff torso.

"It's special," the 35-year-old said, glittery trophy in hand. "With football, it takes all 53 guys. With this mirrorball, it was just Kym and I together in the studio putting in the hours. I'm just glad I didn't let her down."

Us Weekly reports that Maynard was spotted running errands in Charlotte, N.C., without the rock Womack presented to her on 'The Bachelor' finale, with an insider confirming that she has returned it to ABC.

Sources claim that the couple's long-distance relationship was just too hard to continue, with a source telling 'Us,' "It's completely over now."

Maynard is reported to have initiated the breakup, which happened about two weeks ago after she visited Womack's home in Austin, Texas, in a last-ditch attempt to save their relationship.
"Emily is happy in Charlotte [North Carolina] and is not moving to Austin with [her 5-year-old daughter] Ricki," a source told 'Us.' "She is content."

The breakup comes as no surprise to those keeping tabs on the reality couple. Trouble has been brewing in paradise since the March finale, where the couple's body language gave some clues into their icy relationship.
